My oh my I loved this book!
In fact, I loved this book so much that I finished it in a day. I mentioned in my World Book Day post that I was saving th is for spring break and it was the perfect post-lecture detox. Some of the books we have to read for university are pretty dreary (I’m looking at you Dr Samuel Johnson) so I love being able to read ‘just for fun’ whenever term is up.
This book is a romance, but with a bit of a twist. The protagonist, Don, is a scientist who thinks that the method he uses for experimentation will work just as well with finding a wife. And then he meets the woman who is everything he isn’t looking for and his carefully structured life begins to fall apart. No more schedules, no more standardised meals and a less than optimum sleep pattern. She even smokes, a clear sign of irresponsibility. It’s Don’s worst nightmare.
The Rosie Project is fun and an easy read, so would be perfect for anyone looking for something a little more light hearted. Be warned, you might laugh in public like a loon. I did.
Have any of you read it? What did you think?
P.S While I’m here, I wanted to wish a mahoosive happy birthday to my lovely momma, who completed the London Marathon last week. How amazing is she?!
